In PDB files, a TER is normally inserted at the end of a list of ATOM or HETATM records. TER records use a serial number, and this can make it difficult to identify atoms by their serial numbers. To suppress the use of "TER"s, add NOTER.
"TER"s are automatically suppressed in systems that do not have any carbon atoms.
